More Dulcinea

A couple days ago I added legs and shoulder/arm pieces. Today I added structure to the arms and head and did some tweaking.

Keeping an eye on proportion. So far so good. Next steps to add the clothing. Need to get the snips an anvil going.

Back at it this week.

Got back to it this week following a home improvement project... Which isn't done but taking a break since this piece has a June deadline... Yikes. Don is done so Dulcinea is next. The sketch has her floating off to the right of don. If you don't know the story, she is basically an imaginary ideal love interest. I couldn't find any illustrations so making going with my own interpretation of the text. First bend is one full hanger minus hook as usual. It establishes her profile, arms and bust.

There are no cuts in this... All bends. I was pretty happy with this one as a starting shape. I finished it by hooping around back to the center under the bust creating the shape of a dress line/waist.

Tonight I worked on the head. The first bend put width to the head and created a nice collar bone. Following that I I spent considerable time working out the hair.

Tomorrow, jaw-line and arm 3d build out and some torso elements. The rest will be more abstract dress shapes made from shaped soup can tin.
