Bad lighting + iPhone doesn't make for great photos. I haven't really taken photos of my projects before so it's a start.

Sandblasting Don

Took Don over to the shop and blasted him with unknown grit... whatever was in the cabinet. I was worried that it would destroy the tin can armor. It did not. Not sure what to finish it with. Previous pieces I left unsealed. As it is, it may not take kindly to fingerprints...

Don Quixote - Hangers and soup cans

Don Quixote is part of a larger piece that will feature major story elements but he is the center piece. Hat and shield are can ends. Armor pieces are shaped can sides. I used a small ball peen hammer, rubber mallet and jewelers anvil to do the shaping. Tin snips work well to create the general shape. The rest of Don is coat hanger built out from top down using bronze brazing rod and a propane torch. I will sandblast him to remove the flux and any remaining white paint (hanger original color).
